This is a Mausoleum from 1906/1907, it`s built by Edmund Gevert for Family von Schröder, sadly it`s not in a good condition, with broken windows and stuff. But through the broken windows and on my tiptoes i was able to get a few shots from the inside. You can find it on the Ohlsdorf Cemetary in Hamburg.
Do you think i matched the "Oldest Building" theme for Friday my Town Shoot out?
It is very ornate.
AntwortenLöschenThat building has a ton of character. Nice find! It is just a tiny bit creepy though.
AntwortenLöschenTis sad that people break windows and degrade a building even if it is old.
AntwortenLöschena very unusual building and very special.
AntwortenLöschenGreat shots. It looks much older than it is.
AntwortenLöschenwhat a shame it is not cleaned up and maintained. I guess it is considered private and not a public building, but the public's history..... the glimpse of the stained glass is really nice.
